Christ Episcopal Church of Kent

Christ Episcopal Church will offer a Blessing of the Animals on Oct. 2 as part of its 10 a.m. service of Holy Communion.

All kinds of animals and their owners are invited to attend this service. Pets should be in carriers or on leashes. There will be a separate quiet space inside for shy pets in carriers who would not be comfortable attending the entire service. Prayers will also be offered by name for pets who have died or who cannot be present. The service will be followed by a reception with refreshments for both people and pets at which the Rector will individually bless each pet and do laying on of hands for healing for pets with health problems. There will also be basket raffles for both people and pets. Visitors and their pets are welcome to attend and children are especially invited.

United Church of Christ

Lutheran Church

St. Stephen

Lutheran Church

Sunday morning services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday School, for all school-age children, is from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

United Methodist Church in Stow

The United Methodist Church in Stow has Sunday worship at 8:30 a.m. (Praise) and 10:45 a.m. (Traditional) Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care is available from 8 a.m. to noon. There is Kids' Church during each service after the Children's Moment. The Rev. Barb Deibel will be the guest minister on Oct. 2 at both services.

Children ages 4-18 are invited to create art on Oct. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Materials are free, but call or email the office if interested. There will be an auction of the art on Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. All are welcome.

Twin Falls United Methodist Church

Pastor Van Fisher will be presenting a six-week Bible Study starting Oct 6 at 6:30 p.m."Where is God When It Hurts?" -- The focus is we all face difficult and painful situations in life. Adversity is inevitable but it doesn't have to defeat us. All are welcome.

The Annual Holiday Craft show will take place from Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be two floors of crafters, door prizes, bake sale and a concession table.

Church of New Hope

The Church of New Hope invites all to worship and share Christ's love each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

Wednesday night features programs for all ages. Groups meet at the church from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

Under the direction of Children's Pastor, the Rev. Elizabeth Kargbo and her team have begun the new year of AWANA. Children 4 to 11 will enjoy this time of Bible teaching on their level, memory verses, crafts, fun, and snacks. Pastor Mark Lindberg is eager to meet all teens and their friends Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Student Ministries room. Teens may invite someone to come with them and find out what this group is about.

Adults meet in the sanctuary for Bible study. Pastor Joel is continuing an enlightening study of the Book of Acts. The group enjoys a time of rich teaching, prayer, and fellowship. It's a great midweek lift. Meet in the sanctuary at 7 p.m.

Community Church

Sunday morning worship celebrations begin at 10 a.m. The Cornerstone Cafe is open from 9:30 to 9:50 a.m. and immediately after the service with refreshments provided "on the house."

First Christian Church of Stow

Worship services are at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel and 10:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

Holy Family Catholic Church

Registration has begun for PSR, Sunday School, First Communion and a brand new program, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Many programs for children ages Kindergarten through eighth grade start in the fall. A new program is being introduced as well for ages 3 and 4.

Crestview Baptist Church

Grace Bible Church

Grace Bible Church meets at 2474 Graham Road, just east of Charring Cross, in Stow. The Sunday morning service starts at 10 a.m. and finishes at 11:15 with a greeting and fellowship time after the service. The Men's Bible Study meets Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. at the church building. The group is studying the book of Ephesians together using a guide published by John MacArthur. There will be teaching, discussion, bagels and coffee. Pastor Jim Brown is teaching through the book of Luke in the morning worship service. The focus is to expound God's Word verse by verse to learn what God has revealed about Himself and about one's relationship to Him. The main attraction at GBC is Jesus in God's Word.

Fishcreek Church of Nazrene

Sunday worship service is at 10:45 a.m. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. Children's Church takes place during Sunday morning worship. Nursery care is available during class and worship times.

Stow Alliance


Sunday worship opportunities are available at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday school programs for all ages and nursery care are available during both services. On Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.

Stow Alliance Fellowship offers activities for the whole family as well: Adult Prayer Ministry, Worship Choir, Women's Bible Study, Men's Bible Study (5 p.m.), Jr. High Youth Group, Sr. High Youth Group and Awana.
