Singer / songwriter Michael Card, one of contemporary Christian music's pioneers, will be in Stow Sept. 9-11 for a conference and concert.

The songs "El Shaddai" and "Love Crucified Arose" put him in the international spotlight just out of college. "Joy In the Journey" and "Jubilee" along with several other #1 songs would follow.

The Biblical Imagination Conference begins Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. and runs Sept. 10 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 5344 Fishcreek Road in Stow.

Pastor Dan Page says, "Michael Card is one of the most brilliant scholars I know. He has the amazing ability to take complex theological profundities and make them accessible and understandable to everyone."

Pastor Page continues, "The weekend's focus will be on the Old Testament word hesed which is the New Testament's equivalent of agape. They express God's unconditional loving kindness which flow from the reality that God is love. "
