Meeting to focus on candidates
Join us for the October Monthly Membership Luncheon on Oct. 18 at Silver Lake Country Club, 1325 Graham Road in Silver Lake. "Come early to connect," starting at 11:15 am.
The October program will focus on the candidates running for Summit County Executive. Candidates will answer questions prepared for them by the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee. This is your chance to meet and learn more about the two candidates, Bill Roemer and Ilene Shapiro. Cost for Chamber members is $17 and non-members is $22.

October 'After Hours' hosted by OPEN M
Get Connected! Stay Connected! Join members of the Cuyahoga Falls, Greater Akron, Fairlawn, and Stow-Munroe Falls Chambers of Commerce, along with the South Akron Boards of Trade, for the annual "Networking Extravaganza" at OPEN M, 941 S. Princeton St., Akron, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Oct. 26.

Biannual Economic Development
Business Breakfast coming up
The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee will host its Biannual Business Breakfast, on Nov. 3, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at 4301 Darrow Road (Stratford Building), Suite 2500, Stow.
The speaker will be Officer Ryan Schulz, Stow Police Department. Officer Schulz's topic is: Effective Practices for Dealing with "Active Threats in the Workplace," utilizing the A.L.I.C.E. concept (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate).

Leadership Class 2016-17
The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the upcoming 2016-17 Adult Leadership Class, scheduled to start in December. The group meets twice a month for five months for half-day sessions.
One class day each month is set aside to focus on professional and personal development & growth, with leadership coaching by Ned Parks of New Directions Learning. The second meeting day of the month is to learn more about the communities we serve and the surrounding area through onsite visits.
