Driver reports fare not paid: An Oakhurst Drive woman, 58, was charged with misdemeanor theft after police responded to her home at about 1:15 a.m. April 14, where a cab driver reported she did not pay an approximately $30 cab fare when he brought her home. The woman was given a summons to appear in Munroe Falls Mayor's Court and released.

Man would not leave: An Akron man, 35, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest and fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing after a Stow woman reported he would not leave her home at about 2:45 a.m. April 16. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
Woman ran from vehicle: A Kent woman, 29, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest after police said she tried to run away on foot following an unspecified traffic stop in Fishcreek Road's 3900 block at about 4:35 p.m. April 12.
Police said the woman was wanted on a second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business charge filed by Stow police in Stow Municipal Court in connection with the woman falsely identifying herself in September 2016.
According to court records, the woman pleaded guilty to both charges April 13, was sentenced to five days in Macedonia City Jail and was fined $200, of which $100 was suspended.
Man cited on Hudson Drive: A Ritchie Road man, 36, was cited with minor misdemeanor public intoxication while he was in Hudson Drive's 4300 block at about 9:20 p.m. April 15.
Shoes reported stolen: A Hilary Circle man, 45, was charged with misdemeanor theft after police responded to a report that the man took an approximately $70 pair of shoes from a store in Kent Road's 4200 block April 14. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.
Woman and girls charged: A Graham Road woman, 18, a Stow girl, 16, and an Akron girl, 15, were charged with misdemeanor theft after police responded to a report that they took miscellaneous merchandise totaling about $125 in value from a store in Hudson Drive's 3500 block April 10. The woman was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released. The girls were referred to Stow Youth Services in lieu of filing the charge in Summit County Juvenile Court and released to their mothers.
According to municipal court records, the woman pleaded not guilty to the charge April 17.
Man cited during traffic stop: A North Canton man, 23, was cited with marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and marked lanes, all minor misdemeanors, after police stopped his vehicle for the traffic violation on Kent Road at Hiwood Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. April 14. Police said they found the man possessed a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe containing residue.
Man had suspended license: A Hanna Road man, 20, was charged with driving under suspension, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession after police stopped his vehicle on Springdale Road near Hudson Drive at about 8:30 p.m. Police said they found the man possessed a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana grinder. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.
Man pleads guilty: A Colorado man, 53, was cited with marijuana possession and speeding after he was stopped on Route 8 north near Seasons Road at a little before 6 p.m. April 13. According to Stow Municipal Court records, the man pleaded guilty to the citations April 18 and was fined $200.
Man cited at home: A Graham Road man was cited with minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct while intoxicated after police responded to a complaint about the man at his home in the early evening April 12. According to Stow Municipal Court records, the man pleaded guilty to the citation April 18 and was fined $150, of which $100 was suspended.
Obstructing official business
Drug pipe thrown into trash: A Liberty Road man, 33, was charged with misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business, driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia possession while he was at a service station in Graham Road's 3000 block at about 7:15 p.m. April 11.
Police said they saw the man go into the station store when he saw them and then drop a marijuana pipe into a trash container.
The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and turned over to the Portage County Sheriff's Office on an unspecified warrant.
Operating a vehicle under the influence
Woman charged after accident: A Cuyahoga Falls woman, 22, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over the legal limit and assured clear distance ahead following a three-vehicle accident with possible injuries on Steels Corners Road, just west of Bridgewater Parkway at about 10:30 p.m. April 7.
According to an accident report, the woman was eastbound on Steels Corners when she crashed into the rear of a vehicle driven by a Tallmadge man, who was stopped at a red light at Bridgewater. That vehicle, in turn, was pushed into the rear of a vehicle driven by a Columbiana County man.
Police said Stow EMS took the Cuyahoga Falls woman to a hospital for treatment of possible injuries. The Tallmadge man and a Tallmadge woman in the vehicle with him also suffered possible injuries, but the report did not indicate whether they were transferred or treated. No injuries were reported to the Columbiana man.
The Tallmadge man's and the Cuyahoga Falls woman's vehicles sustained disabling damage and the Columbiana man's vehicle sustained minor damage.
Police said the Cuyahoga Falls woman's BAC level measured at 0.192 percent, more than twice the legal limit. She was released after her arrest on a personal bond. According to Stow Municipal Court records, she pleaded not guilty to the charges April 14.
