Weapons charges

Gun found in woman's car: A 47-year-old Akron woman was charged with misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession after Munroe Falls police stopped her on Route 91 at Munroe Falls Avenue at about 1:50 a.m. Sept. 23.

Police said they found a 9 mm pistol, two eight-round 9 mm magazines, a small amount of suspected marijuana, rolling papers and a marijuana roach clip in her vehicle.

The woman was given a Munroe Falls Mayor's Court date and released on a personal bond.

Fictitious plates

Man charged during traffic stop: A Kent man was charged with fictitious plates after it was determined a dealer plate was illegally displayed on his vehicle and he was stopped in South River Road's 300 block at about 2:44 a.m. Oct. 3. The man was summoned to appear in Munroe Falls Mayor's Court and released.

Soliciting without

a permit

Men charged while selling in residential area: A Parma man, 23, Maple Heights man, 34 and an Ashtabula County man, 29, were charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor soliciting without a permit after police responded to a report that the men, employees of a North Royalton television services provider, were soliciting without a permit on Bermont Avenue in the early evening Sept. 28. The men were summoned to appear in Munroe Falls Mayor's Court and released.

Operating a vehicle

under the influence

Chicago man arrested: A Chicago man, 29, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes after police stopped him on Hudson Drive at Ritchie Road at about 1:50 a.m. Oct. 2. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a $1,000 bond.

Woman stopped for traffic violation: A Stillwood Boulevard woman, 32, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, and marked lanes after police stopped her at Stillwood and Kent Road at about 10:05 p.m. Sept. 27. Police said the woman's BAC level measured at 0.132 percent. The woman was released on a personal bond. According to Stow Municipal Court records, the woman pleaded not guilty to the charges Oct. 3.

Man pleads guilty: An Akron man, 24, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes after police stopped him on Route 8 southbound at about 2:55 a.m. Sept. 27. The man was released on a personal bond. According to Stow Municipal Court records, the man pleaded guilty to the charges Sept. 30 and was fined $1,100, of which $500 was suspended.

Man stopped at Darrow and Norton intersection: An Akron man, 39, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over the legal limit and a traffic control device violation after police stopped him at the Darrow and Norton roads intersection at about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 24. Police said the man's BAC level measured at about 0.094 percent. The man was released on a personal bond. According to Stow Municipal Court records, the man pleaded not guilty to the charges Sept. 28.

Drug possession

Woman stopped on Graham Road: A Canton woman, 29, was cited with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession, both minor misdemeanors, during an unspecified traffic stop on Graham Road at Lakeview Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 2. Police said they found a small amount of suspected marijuana and a marijuana pipe in the woman's vehicle.

Man stopped on Hudson Drive: A Tall Grass Circle man, 22, was cited with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession, both minor misdemeanors, during an unspecified traffic stop on Hudson Drive at Heron Springs Parkway. Police said they found a small amount of suspected marijuana, a digital scale and rolling papers in the man's vehicle.

Arrest warrant

Man wanted for probation violation: Stow police arrested a Cuyahoga Falls man, 26, wanted by the Summit County Sheriff's Office on a probation violation, after stopping him on Route 8 at Graham Road at about 7:15 p.m. Oct. 2. Police said they turned the man over to the sheriff's office.

Man and woman arrested in Hudson: A Streetsboro woman, 27, wanted by Stow Municipal Court on two counts each of fifth-degree felony drug possession and misdemeanor theft filed by Stow police and a Northfield Center man, 59, wanted by the court on two counts of misdemeanor complicity to theft, also filed by Stow police, were arrested in Hudson Oct. 1.

According to police reports and court records, an employee of a store in Kent Road's 4200 block reported the man and woman left the store without paying for clothing totaling $616 in value Sept. 6. They were summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and according to court records, the woman and man pleaded not guilty to the charges Sept. 9 and 12 respectively.

According to police and court records, identical theft and complicity charges were subsequently filed against the woman and man after it was determined they had also allegedly taken $654 in clothing from the same store Sept. 1 and arrest warrants were issued Sept. 13.

Police said the drug possession charges stemmed from pills found on the woman during the Sept. 6 incident that were later positively identified as prescription pain and stimulant medications.

Unruliness

Girl threw things: A Stow girl, 13, was charged with unruliness after her mother reported the girl was refusing to follow household rules and threw items, including a fan, a lamp and a doorknob, on Sept. 28. The girl was given a summons to appear in Summit County Juvenile Court and released.

Boy leaves home: A Stow boy, 13, was charged with unruliness after his mother reported that he refused to take a medication and left home without permission for more than two hours in the evening Sept. 26. The boy was referred to Stow Youth Services in lieu of filing the charge in Summit County Juvenile Court and released to his mother.

Underage consumption

Girls and boy charged: Two Stow girls, ages 16 and 17, and a Stow boy, 16, were charged with underage consumption of alcohol after police responded to a report of juveniles possibly drinking in Beckett Ridge's 5000 block at about 2:15 a.m. Sept. 25. Police said they saw a group of people on a driveway who ran and they were able to catch the girls and boy, who admitted to drinking. All three were referred to Stow Youth Services in lieu of filing the charges in Summit County Juvenile Court and each was released to a parent.
